MattPractice Manager
Matt's official title at our clinic is Practice Manager, however, he may be seen on any given day in numerous areas of the clinic. Matt often helps out in Kennel, Reception, Vet Teching, and poses as 'Santa' for our 'Pet Photos with Santa'.
Matt enjoys working at our clinic because he says that he 'likes the facility and being a part of a team who really cares about pets'.
Among Matt's many pets are a rescued dog named Walt and a cockatiel named Merlyn.
In his spare time, Matt likes to read.

DebbieClient Care Coordinator
Debbie joined The Wheeling Animal Hospital in February of 2011. Debbie worked for a major airlines, as a Flight Service Manager, which afforded her the opportunity to travel all over the world! She also did volunteer work for Heartland Animal Shelter for over two years prior to working at Wheeling.
Currently Debbie has no animals at her home, she's too busy loving on the ones that come in here to Wheeling!
Outside of work Debbie spends time with her husband and they enjoy traveling and taking long walks. She also loves cooking and baking - which we then get to sample here at Wheeling!

StacyClient Care Coordinator
Stacy started at our facility as a Client Care Coordinator in April of 2019. She has previously worked at Petsafe for United Airlines and as a vet tech for 3 years before working for us as a client care coorditanor.
Stacy grew up in Melrose Park. She owns two dogs, Elsa and Emma, and in her spare time she likes to travel and spend time with her children.

MaryClient Care Coordinator
Mary stated working at The Wheeling Animal Hospital in October of 1991, not long after the little blue and white building became an animal hospital. She is a receptionist and a dedicated 'Crazy Cat Lady'! Amazingly she only has one cat of her own, a 8 year old orange and white long haired beauty named Libby, who loves being an only cat.
Mary grew up in Massachusetts and is always missing the beauty of the ocean. She still has some family there and loves to go back home, whenever she can. Now that she has two adorable grandsons, Drew, age 6 and Danny, age 4 (almost) she spends as much time as possible spoiling them to the best of her ability and checkbook!
xMary also enjoys reading and needlework. She loves her job and so enjoys the many adorable animals that stop to say 'HI' at the front desk.

StephanieLead Client Care Coordinator
Stephanie is our Lead Client Care Coordinator here at Wheeling Animal Hospital. She started out as a Client Care Coordinator in 2020 and became the lead in May of 2022. She grew up in the city of Chicago and moved out to the suburbs and resides in Northfield since 2015. She always wanted to be a vet growing up, but wasn't excited of all the schooling so she chose the next best thing!
Stephanie is known as the bulldog lover of our clinic, owning an Olde English Bulldogge of her own, Minnie! Anytime Stephanie is working, Minnie is always with her, so be sure to say your hello! She also owns a calico cat, Nala, who despises the vet as all cats do. On her spare time you will catch Stephanie spending time with her family, writing, playing the Sims, obsessing about Disney, or out and about with Minnie.

HeatherClient Care Coordinator
Heather joined the Wheeling Animal Hospital in November of 2020 as a Client Care Coordinator. She wanted to work in veterinary field to see some cute animals and learn about the environment!
Heather grew up in Palatine and owns a black Lab/Pointer mix named Lucky! Her favorite animals to work with and see are exotics, and she loves to see pigs! On her spare time, her and Lucky go for long walks, binge watch Netflix, and hanging out with her fiancee! -
RachelleClient Care Coordinator
Rachelle is one of our Client Care Coordinators here at Wheeling Animal Hospital. She started with us in the fall of 2021 because of her love for animals and wanted the experience of helping them when in need!
She grew up in Des Plaines and has three cats, two guinea pigs, and a basset hound named Hunter. On her spare time you can catch her watching her favorite comedies!

ErikaLead Veterinary Technician
Erika is Wheeling Animal Hospital's Lead Technician since October of 2022. She has been a technician in many environments in veterinary medicine for 14 years! She loves working with animals, but her favorite species to work with are snakes.
Erika currently owns two dogs and two cats. She grew up in the city of Chicago, and on her spare time she spends time with her family and loves to make almond milk!

RosyVeterinary Technician
Rosy has been working as one of our veterinary technicians here at Wheeling Animal Hospital since July of 2014. Rosy grew up in Acapulco, Mexico and has always loved to work with different types of pets. Her favorite pet to work with is our clinic cat, Ellie! On her spare time, Rosy will travel with her husband and spend time with her grandchildren.

TaheraVeterinary Technician
Tahera came to Wheeling Animal Hospital in November of 2022. She was a veterinarian in her country, Afghanistan! While with us, however, she is working as a veterinary technician while here in the United States. She loves working in the field to help animals. In her country there are lots of injured, abused animals and unfortunately they don't have a lot of veterinary care facilities, and her love for animals convinced her to help by becoming a veterinarian!
Tahera grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan and now resides in the United States. She did have a dog, Ollie, who unfortunately passed away and she had a cat, Bayfi, she needed to rehome because she was unable to bring her to the U.S.. On her spare time Tahera loves to read books, and spending time with her friends and family!

TylerVeterinary Assistant
Tyler started as a veterinary assistant in May of 2021 here at Wheeling Animal Hospital. He currently is in school and is pursuing a degree in animal science, and has hopes of going to vet school in the near future!
Tyler grew up in Buffalo Grove and has three dogs, Riley (a Great Pyrenees/Golden mix), Enzo (a Boxer mix), and Mili (a Great Pyrenees/Pitbull mix). While he isn't in school, he enjoys his spare time going to the gym, hanging out with friends, and being with his dogs! -
SueLead Pet Resort Reservations Specialist
Sue joined the staff of The Wheeling Animal Hospital and Pet Resort several years ago as a Pet Reservations Specialist.
Sue worked in Human Resources for 15 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Once her daughter got older, Sue decided to indulge her passion for animals by working with them on a daily basis.
Sue lives with her husband, daughter, (who is now attending her last year of college at University of Illinois - GO ILLINI!) and two dogs; Buddy, a Beagle, and Weiser, a white Labrador Retriever.

PatriciaPet Resort Reservation Specialist
Patricia joined our Wheeling Pet Resort team in April 2018 as a Reservation Specialist! Her love for animals began at a young age since she spend most summers at her grandparent's farm in Mexico.
In her spare time, Patricia loves to be with her family, go out exploring with her two dogs Bella and Bonnie, read, and crochet!

AshleyDay Camp Counselor
Ashley joined the Wheeling Pet Resort in June of 2022 as one of our Day Camp Counselors to study more on dog behavior. She loves animals and wants to study their behavior to become a dog trainer! Her end goal in her career is to become a dog trainer for police and military animals.
Ashley grew up in the area (Wheeling) and owns two cats, Tiger and Mia, a German Shepherd, Ivy, and a bunny, Coconut! In her spare time you can see her riding horses, string art and other arts and crafts, and wood working. She loves to be in the outdoors to explore, and will play sports, like baseball and volleyball.

HoracioKennel Staff
Horacio has worked as one of Wheeling Pet Resort's kennel staff for 20 years! Growing up on a farm in Mexico, his love for pets started at a young age. Now he has the opportunity to take care of all sorts of animals who come to stay with us!
Horacio currently has no pets, but loves every animal that comes in as if they were his own! In his spare time, you can find him running and playing sports.
