As pet owners, it is often difficult to groom our furry friends on our own. Yet proper grooming is essential to the health and happiness of pets. That's why we are happy to do it for you.
What to Expect
When you make an appointment, a professional groomer will meet with you for a one-on-one consultation to personalize your pet's session. We use special techniques to reduce anxiety and keep your pet calm during the process. If needed, a vet will provide additional assistance if deemed necessary, but you can expect the following at a routine grooming appointment:
- Bathing: Your pet will be thoroughly bathed with a non-detergent, hypoallergenic shampoo to remove all dirt, debris, and loose hair. Bathing is essential to remove bacteria, dander, and allergens from your pet. It also allows the groomer to detect certain diseases and conditions in their early stages.
- Hair Cut: Depending on the breed or type of pet, they will be given a cut, trim, or shave based on your specifications. This helps your pet feel cooler and fresher. Shaving can also get rid of knots and mats that can be painful.
- Ear Cleaning: Your pet's ears will be gently cleaned to remove any dirt, debris, and wax buildup.
- Nail Trimming: Long nails can not only be a danger to you, other pets, and property, but they're also painful to your pet. The groomer will trim and file the nails to reduce the chances of getting caught on things and scraping on the ground.
To wrap up your pet's grooming session, they will be given a blowout and be thoroughly brushed and combed. If you like, they'll be given some cologne and a breath treatment to ensure they are fully refreshed. Depending on the breed and temperament of your pet, you can expect them to be at the spa between 2–3 hours.
